3–5 Bookshelf
These "bookshelves" are actually text sets—collections of engaging books related to a topic or theme. To provide a range of literacy experiences with the topic, the bookshelves offer a variety of genres, formats, and reading levels. Each bookshelf includes five to eight books.

Each book is introduced with a brief summary (annotation), following which you may also find:
Suggestions for Use. Suggestions for using the book in the classroom.
Highlights and Insights. Ideas, information, and asides related to the book and directed to the teacher.
Connections to Standards. Related ELA Ohio content standards (and social studies content standards if applicable).
Related Trade Books.
