Prerequisites
This section details foundational knowledge required to complete this module.
Access to a classroom and to appropriate technologies is required. Participants
are expected to have understanding of English language arts content and
pedagogy and be technologically literate.
The participant should demonstrate the following knowledge in content and
pedagogy:
- familiarity with the Ohio's English Language Arts Academic Content Standards
and the ISTE technology standards (NETS*S) for students.
- understanding of how constructivist and sociocultural learning theories are
implemented in a language arts lesson.
- a solid understanding of English language arts content and pedagogical
practices.
The participant should demonstrate the following technology skills:
- basic word processing.
- well-developed Internet navigation and research skills.
- familiarity with commonly used technologies.
