Goal
The goal of this module is to promote the use of technology-integrated teaching
by providing specific strategies to help educators understand how to use
technology effectively in order to enhance instructional practices and improve
student achievement.
Objectives
Participants who successfully complete this technology integration module will
be able to...
- plan, design, teach and assess a lesson that integrates technology.
- plan a technology-rich, inquiry-based science lesson that targets a specific
science benchmark within the physical, earth/space, or life sciences and
includes indicators that address the history and nature of science, science and
technology, and science as inquiry.
- develop a technology-rich, standards-based science lesson that offers
participants multiple opportunities to demonstrate that they understand the
concepts behind the activities by requiring them to create an end-product that
makes use of multiple technologies.
- use technology as a catalyst to provide learning options that lead to
conceptual understanding.
