Pacing guides, calendars, and high quality "rich problems" in mathematics are now available through the Mathematics Program Models website at ORC. Science Program Models pacing guides, calendars and "inquiries" are also available at this time.
ORC is planning a series of regional workshops in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Inquiry-Based Instructional Units for the coming school year. ORC is becoming known throughout Ohio and the nation for its expertise in the use of inquiry in a career-technical venue. National inquiry expert David Ross of the Novel Approach PBL Consulting Group has worked closely over the past year with ORC staff and Ohio teachers to develop inquiry-based units of instruction specifically for career-technical classrooms in Ohio, and to use those units in a series of workshops funded by the Ohio Department of Education's Career Technical and Adult Education division and developed in conjunction with ORC.
For more information about scheduling a workshop in your region or to partner with ORC to design a workshop for a specific site, contact Brian Schoch at ORC.
