Welcome to The ORC PROMISE: PROgram Model Instructional Support for Educators.

Committees of Ohio teachers and teacher educators were commissioned by the Ohio Department of Education in 2005-06 to develop innovative, standards-based approaches to high school mathematics and science. These committees constructed multiple, integrated, process-oriented outlines of 4-5 years of coursework in each discipline. ORC was commissioned to enrich the teaching of the Program Models by:

• Developing pacing guides for each course,
• Identifying best practice lessons aligned with each topic, and
• Developing rich problems for mathematics and inquiries for science.
