There will be a need to review all the areas of data analysis required to complete this project.

At least 3-4 days will be needed to explain the project and have questions answered. This should include a page explaining how the project will be assessed.

The time interval includes class time that is used to check on student progress.

Bivariate data unit project: Students can choose an (x, y) data pairing; identify as an explanatory variable and a response variable. Weather, sports, geographical information from web sites provide great data; for example, (x represents the number of inches of rainfall, y represents the suicide rate in a city);(x represents the population of a city; y represents the winning percentage of local sports team), etc. Most topics listed here can be taught through these projects.
