This resource is from the official State of Michigan website and provides four recollections from people who lived through the Great Depression. These reminiscences were published in Michigan History Magazine, January-February, 1982. These memoirs could be used to enhance a lecture or lesson about the Great Depression and may even be used as a basis of an oral history project on the topic. The site is easy to access and allows you to change the text size, convert the text into printer-friendly format, or e-mail the text to yourself or someone else.
