Professional Commentary

Students will create a classification tree based on grouping candy using eight different properties. The task assesses students' ability to make simple observations and apply their understanding to classification. This task is designed to take students approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. This performance assessment is part of the PALS (Performance Assessment Links in Science) collection. (author/ts)
