question asks students to determine the answer to a question based on information they found in the reading selection. In this case students are to use the word bank, a feature common to reading selections at this grade level, to determine a word meaning and use that meaning to help answer the question. This is a sample multiple choice test item used in a past Ohio Reading Achievement (for more information, see IMS: Assessments). From this test item, a visitor may view the reading passage and information regarding general student performance on this item. The Ohio Department of Education's IMS website allows visitors to search for test items and build a printable database of questions by choosing the "Add to Your Backpack" function.
